About Tortuguero 

Our Tortuguero tour will take to to the   National Park in the Limón Province of Costa Rica. It is situated within the Tortuguero Conservation Area of the northeastern part of the country.[1] Despite its remote location, it is the third-most visited park in Costa Rica, reached only by airplane or boat.[2] The park has a large variety of biological diversity due to the existence within the reserve of eleven different habitats, including rainforestmangrove forests, swampsbeaches, and lagoons. Located in a tropical climate, it is very humid, and receives up to 250 inches (6,400 mm) of rain a year.

Itenerary
  • At 6.10 a.m., we start our journey from San José accompanied by our bilingual nature guide.
  • At 7.00 a.m. , we will cross coffee plantations to continue through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, covered with beauty and lavishness of its trees and beautiful waterfalls which can be seen from the road.
  • At 8 a.m., we will eat a delicious Costa Rican typical breakfast with fresh fruit, coffee, juice, eggs and the popular “Gallo Pinto.”
  • At 8.30 a.m., we will continue the trip and visited the banana packing plant. The guide will explain the process of growth and fruit export. (Saturday and closed Sunday).
  • At 11.00 a.m ., we began to enjoy the boat ride, boarding at the Caño Blanco, taking in the Caribbean channels located within the famous Tortuguero National Park.
  • At 12.00 p.m., enjoy a typical lunch, which will please the most demanding of appetites.
  • At 1.00 pm, after lunch we will walk through the forest and learn more about the nature and get a better idea of our tropical rainforest, plus enjoy a boat tour through Tortuguero National Park.

This park has 29,000 acres and is one of the most important nesting places of the Chelonia midas turtle, or green turtle.
